[IN PICS] Cape's Zeitz MOCAA Museum a feast for the senses

The wait is over and the world’s largest museum dedicated to African contemporary art is preparing to open its doors to the public.

The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) museum opened to the press on Friday 15 September.

The iconic 10 000 square meter space is a highly sensory experience, CapeTalk's Pippa Hudson relays.

The R500 million art gallery dedicated to contemporary art from Africa and will officially open to the public on 22 September.

Entrance to the museum will be free from Friday 22 September to Monday 25 September, as a celebration of the momentous occasion.

However, to control numbers of people within the building, a ticket will still be needed for entrance.

Tickets are available (at no cost) from Webtickets and at the door from 22 to 25 September (between 10am-6pm).
