[LISTEN] Joburg teacher accused of assaulting mentally disabled pupil

A Johannesburg mother, Tumi* , has relayed how her child was physically assaulted by a caregiver last week.

A video recording sent to her, shows how her 16-year-old who is mentally disabled was pinned down in a bus by a female caregiver, beaten and then dragged out by a male teacher.

On Tuesday on my way from work, a lady called me and said she is the mother of the child who took some video of my child being abused, I saw the video, it was horrible.

I went to the school to report this, they did not attend to the case very well, they did not even care. They have not called to check up on us or anything.
