Toys ‘R’ Us is looking to secure a loan to fund its operations in a potential bankruptcy filing that could come before the holiday sales season.

According to reports, the toy retailer's move is because of consumers increasing online shopping habits.

The Wall Street Journal earlier reported that the company filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection late Monday night.
