Parliament's Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa) has summoned KPMG to Parliament, saying it wants the firm to account for its actions which have tainted its credibility.
Scopa says KPMG needs to do this if it is to do any more work with State-owned entities.
At a briefing on Monday, South African Revenue Services (Sars) Commissioner Tom Moyane called for action to be taken against KPMG for withdrawing the Sars Rogue Unit report.

There have also been questions raised on why a Scopa's ANC study group whip Mnyamezeli Booi was at the briefing.
Booi says he simply wanted to get the details on the matter, and has apologised for the impression created by his presence.
I availed myself because I wanted to get to the nitty gritty of the matter itself. The impression should not have been that I am supporting Sars, I have got a parliamentary responsibility to follow Sars and get Sars to account.
— Mnyamezeli Booi, Scopa's ANC study group whip
I apologise. There is a bigger thing that governance cannot be disrupted by the infighting of institutions. The sovereignty of South Africa from a multinational company and how they are handling that relationship should be a matter of concern for us.
