Ekurhuleni Mayor Mzwandile Masina says a feasibility study is in the pipeline to build the metro's first university.
The municipality has invited a number of professionals and academics to present a plan to Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande.
The delegation of experts will join heads in charting a road map for the establishment during a university symposium to be held on September 21 at the Lakes Conference Centre in Benoni.

There could be 19 different faculties which can be self funded if we were to pull together resources from the private sector, we have engaged some of those training academies that are private sector based.
