[LISTEN] Why Antonio Banderas is in SA

Spanish actor, Antonio Banderas is visiting South Africa to promote his latest perfume range.

While he is known for his performances in many high-profile Hollywood films, and as the voice of 'Puss in Boots' in Shrek, there is more to Banderas.

Besides the campaigning around his perfume, Banderas is in Johannesburg to visit Nkosi’s Haven, the organization named after the late Nkosi Johnson, which helps to care for children and mothers affected by HIV.

We came here, selected a charity we thought was beautiful. I visited the facilities this morning. The facility with 120 Kids with Aids and their mothers, provides them with education, and we thought we would provide them with all the funds they need to fulfill the objective.

He has been involved in the perfume business for nearly 20 years.

It is a long story, but people that were doing theater with me decided to take off in a different direction because business people, we met 10 years later and they proposed the possibility....
