'Pseudo scientists refuse to believe Africans capable of building the pyramids'

The Evolutionary Studies Institute's Dr Julien Benoit says there are some pseudo-scientists who are refusing to believe that some of the Wonders of the Ancient World, the Great Pyramid of Giza, in Egypt, the ruined city of Great Zimbabwe, Mapungubwe in South Africa, Kenya’s Gedi Ruins and Meroe in Sudan were built by Africans.

These people go as far as crediting ancient astronauts, extraterrestrials or time travellers as the real builders of the Wonders of the Ancient World, says Benoit.

When I wrote about this I was actually saying how would I feel if someone from a foreign country would come to my country and look at the cathedral and say no this is too great for these people... I would find it super offensive.

Dr Julien Benoit, Evolutionary Studies Institute

This is exactly what these people who are creating alien theories about the origins of the pyramids are doing.

Dr Julien Benoit, Evolutionary Studies Institute

The people who theoritisise that aliens made these monuments are mostly on the internet - are very active on the internet - and it is only on the internet that you realise how big and numerous they are.
