Mchunu says "our turn to eat" syndrome may be plaguing political violence in KZN

Former KwaZulu-Natal Premier Senzo Mchunu testified at the Moerane Commission of Inquiry investigating political killings in KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday.

The commission hopes to get to the bottom of who is responsible for what is deemed political killings of councillors in KwaZulu-Natal.

Ziyanda Ngcobo, EWN report is covering the story. She reports that Mchunu cited numerous reasons for the violent killings in the province.

The first being, it is far too easy to become a councillor as you don't need qualifications or experience which creates competition.
