Sunell Afrika a Rentals Manager at SAProperty.com says tenants might not understand why their application could take some time to approve, but there are certain items that need to be “ticked off a list” before any rental agent or landlord could consider signing a lease with a particular prospective tenant.
Afrika explains that while some landlords become desperate to avoid a rental loss, she urges tenants to heed any cautions from agents. She adds that approximately seventy percent of the market is controlled by rental agents.
Afrika goes on to say tenants should equip themselves with reputable agents.

She adds that tenants also need to keep their end deal of a lease and adhere to the terms and conditions and avoid skipping rent.
