Kidz2Kidz host anti-bullying 'minute of silence' to celebrate World Peace Day

21 September is World Peace Day. It's celebrated annually to strengthen the ideals of peace among all nations and people of the world.

An NGO running the anti-bullying campaigns in South Africa's schools, Kidz2Kidz, will be hosting a peace gathering at the Mouille Point Lighthouse in Green Point to celebrate World Peace Day.

The initiative instructs teachers and aftercare facilities on how to recognise bullying behaviour, and how to facilitate anti-bullying sessions at their schools.

Founder and national coordinator of Kidz2Kidz, Dee Boehner is encouraging all South Africans at 12 noon on Thursday 21 September to observe a minute of silence to pay tribute to those who have lost their lives through bullying.

In that minute we want to say stop the bullying, let's stand together and open up the platform of open discussions anti bullying.

Dee Boehner, Founder and National Coordinator of Kidz2Kidz
