We found out Makhosi Khoza resigned through the media - Zizi Kodwa

On Thursday, African National Congress (ANC) Member of Parliament Makhosi Khoza announced her resignation from the organisation. Khoza said she no longer wanted to be part of a corrupt and alien ANC.

ANC, National Spokesperson Zizi Kodwa says neither regional or national branches have received an official resignation letter from Khoza.

We did try to talk to Parliament to find out if they had received a letter but there is nothing on our side to say she has resigned. We found out through the media.

Zizi Kodwa, National Spokesperson of the ANC

Kodwa says Khoza has criticised the party before, so her remarks are not shocking or new.

He goes on to say that the ANC gives their members the liberty to express themselves without any form of restraint, but adds that members should not address issues in a manner that will undermine the structures of the party.

Khoza was unfortunately and regrettably not brave enough to raise her grievances internally.

Kodwa explains that Khoza's failure to do so has deprived the ANC of engaging the views she's paraded in public.
