She says family rituals are important to help foster a child's sense of identity.

We are creating shared memories, creating an emotional anchor for the family beliefs and the value system. It is kind of a togetherness exercise

Part of family ritual is to create structure. If we are talking daily rituals, how about, how do we eat? Do we eat around the diner table or sit and watch Tv. That creates a certain way of being with each other.
