Has someone hacked the road traffic system?

Callers phoned in to The John Maytham Show relating some very strange messages seen on a temporary variable messaging system signboard on the road to Gordon's Bay.

The signs are reminiscent of the Nigerian 419 email and SMS scams, suggests a caller, who describes a board reading 'Please contact Amanda on email for inheritance fund.'

It says she has a R6.9 million inheritance due to her.
