The African National Congress (ANC) in Kwazulu Natal is set to hold a media briefing on Tuesday morning after the national leadership canceled its press conference which was to address a decision on whether to appeal the Pietermaritzburg High Court ruling.
On Monday, the National Executive Committee was locked in meetings with the so-called rebels who took the KZN ANC to court to discuss divisions in the province.
Last week, the nullified KZN leadership filed an application for leave to appeal the High Court judgment without the NEC’s approval.
Political analyst Karima Brown says according to reports, President Jacob Zuma may be in favor of the appeal.
We do know the former PEC that is legally disbanded have been met with and of course we know that the ANC is keen to not have a legalistic approach to the matter.— Karima Brown, political analyst
