Business owners can now apply for liquor licences online with the help of an automated Small Medium Micro Enterprise (SMMEs) business services system.
The system was launched by Economic, Environment, Agriculture and Rural Development MEC Lebogang Maile at the Mabopane Indoor Sports Centre in Johannesburg on Monday.
He spoke to Ray White on The Midday Report.
We want to make sure that it is easy to do business with government, but that it is also done in a transparent way.— Lebogang Maile, MEC for Economic, Environment, Agriculture and Rural Development
Through the system, people will be able to apply for different categories, even for occasional licenses. We are also engaged in a physical verification process because we want to know where these outlets are.— Lebogang Maile, MEC for Economic, Environment, Agriculture and Rural Development
