The book, titled 'Khwezi: the remarkable story of Fezekile Ntsukela Kuzwayo', gives Kuzwayo a voice, after many years of being simply reduced to President Jacob Zuma's rape accuser.

Tlhabi explains that Kuzwayo led a very significant life, one that demonstrates how many powerful men and political figures are protected in South Africa.

Many chapters of her life reflect what is wrong with our society; the way we retreat when bullies and powerful people take over.

She explored the themes of the book, including rape apologism, victim-blaming, the ANC's history of sexual predation and differences between law and justice.

Of course it is a story of sexual violence, but it is also a story about the unfinished business of South Africa and all the rapes that took place in apartheid South African that we never discussed.

This is not a Fezekile versus Jacob Zuma issue. It's about our society, the things we're willing to let happen and the violent masculinity in the country.

Tlhabi spoke about the contents of the book, its successful launch and her journey to writing it.
