The City of Tshwane says it will provide transport as part of a youth unemployment pilot project.

The City of Tshwane has provided busses to every ward in Bronkhorstspruit, in an effort to alleviate youth unemployment in the area.

The busses will collect youth from various points, taking them to the Black Royal Mine to drop off their CVs.

This project is part of the planned opening of the mine which is expected to create about 100 job opportunities during its first phase.

Stephen Grootes spoke to MMC for Roads and Transport, Sheila Lynn Senkubuge.

We created a database with everybody's contact details, and we do have chaperones on the bus. Everyone comes, they show their cv.

We go only from one point, which is the pick up point to the drop off point.

Sheila Lynn Senkubuge, MMC for roads and transport

We might not be the one's who are going to make sure you get the job you are applying for, but at least let there be no barrier between you having the opportunity to at least apply or be able to go for that interview.
