The Federation of Governing Bodies of South African Schools (Fedsas) says the South African Schools Act outlaws party political activities at schools during school hours.
This comes amid public debate over an image of three Maritzburg College pupils holding up EFF branded T-shirts, calling for land redistribution.
Fedsas CEO Paul Colditz says the law doesn't draw a distinction pupils, teachers, parents or any other groups.
