Intellectually challenged Donna Chait defies the odds

CapeTalk's Kieno Kammies says he shed a tear when he watched a documentary based on the inspirational life of Donna Chait.

Donna is an intellectually challenged woman who managed to complete the New York Marathon.

The director of a documentary called 'Limits', Lauren Gillis, speaks about what an inspirational individual Chait is, and how she has taught people to break out of their comfort zones.

The movie is about a 30-year-old severely mentally challenged woman that I took through the New York Marathon.

Against all odds she has taught me incredible lessons... the biggest learning for me is that she has a soul on another level.

In describing Chait, Gillis says she displays no judgement of others and is more evolved than most average human beings.

Looking at her, you learn about love and compassion, authenticity and honesty, says Gillis.

My goal is to go forward and inspire as many people as possible to reach their potential, locally and globally as a result of Donna's story.
