The Cape Town International Film Market and Festival is celebrating local film talent and helping build industry collaborations.
The 11-day festival is an effort to drive growth in the industry and remove barriers to entry for aspiring film-makers.
The festival includes a business-to business expo and networking event as well as talks by established film-makers
This is the first film marketing festival in Cape Town in 11 years.
The festival's Jehad Kasu says the event hopes to create opportunities and facilitate working relationships with all parts of the film production value chain.

Films from over 50 countries will also be featured at the festival screenings.
The festival runs at Ster Kinekor cinemas at the V&A Waterfront daily until October 21.
The free Film Market Expo runs at the Cape Town Cruise Terminal inside the Cape Town harbour precinct.
