Mineral Resources Minister Mosebenzi Zwane on Wednesday, faced questions from MPs on Parliament's mineral resources committee, about his relationship with the Gupta family and state capture allegations.

He hit out at what he calls a "trial by public opinion" by members of parliament claiming he has saved thousands of jobs in the mining industry.

Talk radio Producer Jonathan Fairbairn added a new word to his dictionary, describing the minister's response to the series of questions posed to him by the committee.

Cool as a KuZwane , it is defined in the Khabazela Dictionrary of Words as one who is calm and uruffled when lying in public.
