Singer and former ANC MP Jennifer Ferguson has come forward with claims that she was raped by current South African Football Association boss Danny Jordaan in 1993.
In a personal blog post published Wednesday, Ferguson relays how she was invited to sing at a dinner hosted by leading South African sports bodies and representative officials at a hotel in Port Elizabeth.
She claims Jordaan accompanied her to her suite when he was made to wait outside, but entered her room and forcefully grabbed her from behind.
Ferguson spoke to Stephen Grootes on the Breakfast Show.
She says she wants her story to continue the conversation around sexual assault and give it precedence.
