Thabo Mbeki urges for legal means to challenge Kenyan re-election results

Kenyans are waiting to see whether opposition leader, Raila Odinga will turn to the courts to oppose the election of Uhuru Kenyatta in the election re-run this past week.

Odinga decided not to run, saying the election would not be free or fair.

Crystal Orderson, Southern Africa Editor of the Africa Report, says former South African President and African Union Election observer, Thabo Mbeki, held a press conference and said he hoped the parties would use the legal means to challenge the election results.

We know that only 39% of the country voted meaning that Kenyatta received 98% of the vote.
