WATCH: Whether it's me, Mdluli, or Zuma, we're all equal before the law

Seasoned prosecutor turned member of parliament (MP) Glynnis Breytenbach has written a memoir which reflects on the state of South Africa's legal system.

Breytenbach currently serves as the DA’s shadow minister for justice and sits on the justice portfolio committee in Parliament.

The former prosecutor spent 26 years of her life working at the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA).

Her book, titled Rule of Law, discusses the important role of prosecutors, her many years at the NPA and how it has since deteriorated.

Breytenbach opened up her new book, work as a prosecutor, her own legal battle and her views on justice in SA.

Prosecuting is a great way to take on bullies, but you become a prosecutor to help people.
