Multi-award winning, hip hop artist Refiloe Maele Phoolo better known to his fans as Cassper Nyovest is on a mission to fill up FNB Stadium almost a year after attaining his goal of packing up and performing to a sold out audience at the Dome.
Cassper Nyovest is known to be ambitious and has been relentlessly chasing his dreams since the age of 16, when he dropped out of high school and later relocating to Johannesburg to pursue a career in music as a rapper and producer.
Before acquiring fame, he was first a member of a group called Childhood Gangsters (CHG), which disbanded and then went to join an eight-member group, called Slow Motion.
In 2013, he released "Gusheshe" as the first official single from his debut album, Tsholofelo and soon became a household name and a force to be reckoned with.
To date he has released three mainstream albums with his latest offering titled 'Thuto' a follow-up to his 2015 album Refiloe.
Cassper Nyovest described the project "his best work yet", and claimed the album reached gold status on the first day of its release.
Upon the revealing of the tracklist, he revealed on the photo and video-sharing website Instagram that he named the album "Thuto" in dedication to his elder sister Thuto Phoolo, whose birthday coincide with the album's release date. The album was supported by the single "Tito Mboweni", and features vocal guest appearances from Tsepo Tshola, Black Thought, Nadia Nakai, Tshego, Goapele and Riky Rick.
