They should go ahead and do what they want to do - Jacques Pauw

Jacques Pauw, Investigative Journalist at Media24 and author of controversial book The President's keepers says he hasn't committed any offense by writing the book and those standing against him "should go ahead and do what they want to do".

He says when he was writing the book he was well aware that law enforcement will try and stop him from doing so but clearly they were "fast asleep" because they waited for the book to be published.

Pauw says he is in possession of documents that support what he wrote. He has legal documents that reveal that Sars, under Tom Moyane, has been dishing out tax payers information to the public.

I think they have been ill advised to try and stop the publication of this book...

We received a letter on Thursday from State Security Agency that they are giving us 5 days to withdraw the book, failing to do so they will apply for an urgent interdict.

Jacques Pauw, author of The President's keepers

If they are prepared to wait 5 days then it cant be that urgent, can it? Secondly, how come they wait 5 days - they were completely fast asleep with the publishing of this book.

According to Pauw, they have sold thousands copies of the book around the world and it's not going to help anyone to ban the book now.

There are also PDF copies of the book that are making rounds on social media. However, Pauw says if people can afford to buy the book they should go ahead and buy it and those who can't can go ahead and read it in however way.

I simply want people to read it.
