The South African National Parks (SANParks) has announced that it has made 170 of its hiking trails available on Google street view.
This is an attempt to encourage tourists to make South Africa their next holiday destination. SanParks says these hiking trails have been documented in a new series of 360 degree photos which are posted to Google Street View.
Andre van Kets, co-founder of Drive South Africa, says about a year or two year they applied to borrow Google's trekker camera, a wearable backpack which hikers will use to map out trails which cars in these game parks cannot reach.
