South Africans love Capitec Bank.

All the others?

Not so much.

That’s according to the latest BrandsEye’s South African Banking Sentiment Index, a measure of sentiment among social media users.

BrandsEye used 1.8 million social media posts between September 2016 and August 2017 to compile its index.

It’s the third year in a row that Capitec Bank came out tops.

It is the only bank with a positive net sentiment score.

Absa has the lowest score.
