SSA is promoting sales of Jacques Pauw’s book like no ad campaign ever can

Every week The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield asks branding and advertising expert Andy Rice to share with him the week’s advertising “heroes” and “zeroes”.

This week, Rice critiqued an ad by Volkswagen, and the State Security Agency’s unwitting promotion of investigative journalist and author Jacques Pauw’s “The President's Keepers”.

Rice loved the Volkswagen ad – promoting extra special deals – in which a driver can’t find his car at a drive-in, because everyone drives a VW!

Volkswagen got a “hero” rating from Rice.

This week’s “zero” goes to the clueless State Security Agency for promoting sales of Pauw’s book in a way no advertising campaign ever can.
