Converting your black tax into black dividends

Black Tax is defined as the way in which blacks have to work twice as hard to get what they want, but another different definition is that of illegal activities carried out in exchange of illegal goods for cash.

In South Africa, Black Tax make reference to the responsibility blacks who are employed have towards helping their families, especially parents and extended families.

Kgodiso Mokonyane, Momentum Segment middle market head, says black tax is a big issue for black professionals.

Mokonyane says people need to take their personal needs into account before contributing towards black tax.

She goes on to say it is important for employers to be considerate of the burdens of black tax and how apartheid has affected the progression and economical ranking of black people.
