Eskom's board spokesperson Khulani Qoma accused Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown of repeatedly lying to the public.
Qoma told parliamentarians investigating allegations of state capture that Brown is an “atrocious” minister who appointed “compromised executives” and took irrational decisions that have affected the parastatal's reputation.
He also also went on to say the minister blocked early attempts to have Matshela Koko suspended.
The Minister hit back in a statement accusing the probe of anointing to a kangaroo court.

Political analyst Karima Brown insists the Minister is being disingenuous in her response to allegations that she has been captured.
We saw in the Matshela Koko disciplinary process, we have seen her deeply implicated in protecting Matshela Koko so I think Lynne Brown is being hugely disingenuous to try and suggest that parliament is trying to set her up without giving her an opportunity to come forward.— Karima Brown, political analyst
She is going to have an opportunity, and of course she owes us an explanation. She is not doing South African's a favour by explaining.— Karima Brown, political analyst
