How to overcome your terror of flying

Former flying phobic, Damon Beard chats to John Maytham about his 'Flying Without Fear' course coming to Cape Town next week.

Beard, who is based in Durban, describes his lifelong fear of flying as debilitating.

He says he would drop people off at the airport a block away from the terminal.

After missing countless holidays and work functions, he finally decided enough was enough, and began evolving a method to overcome the phobia.

If you sitting in a row in a plane, one in three people are afraid of flying.
