'I feel incredibly blessed’ says new OPW Presenter Kayise Ngqula

Kayise Ngqula is a South African actress best known for her first starring acting role as Portia in the SABC 1 drama series, Mina Nawe. Her only prior credit was a guest starring role as a journalist on the second season of the Mzansi Magic drama series, 'It's Complicated'.

Originally from East London, the new OPW host auditioned for the #OPWPresenterSearch in Johannesburg. From waiting in long queues to making it in the top 6, Kayise Ngqula won the viewers hearts, and became the new 'Our Perfect Wedding' Presenter for 2018. Floods of messages and pictures surfaced on social media, congratulating her for the win.

I auditioned in Johannesburg which had, most probably, the biggest turn out.

Viewers rate the show highly and compare it to going to Church. It's become an integral part in the lives of many South Africans, with some viewers saying that Sunday is nothing without OPW.

You know what, relationships always come with a story. Whether theres been some negative stuff that has happened in their journey, leading up to their wedding day. I do think it’s genuine, I mean it’s a reality show, it’s real people, real lives.
