South African taxpayers have until Friday 24 November to submit their tax returns.
The SA Revenue Service reported at the beginning of this month that some 4.5million taxpayers have filed returns, but last year some 6.6million taxpayers submitted returns, which means that there will be yet another last-minute rush to file returns.
CapeTalk's Kieno Kammies spoke to Mark Kingon Group Executive at Sars to find out how this tax season went.

Kingon says about 23% of cases have been stopped for a review and the vast majority have been paid. He says the returns don't take too long to be paid.
