[WATCH] Zola Tsotsi drops bombshell about Zuma meeting at State Capture Inquiry

Rahima Essop, EWN reporter is in Parliament.

Essop reports that earlier on Tuesday, former Eskom chairperson Zola Tsotsi gave an explosive testimony in Parliament.

She goes on to say Tsotsi shared a sinister tale about his encounters with Tony Gupta, who threatened to fire the former Eskom chairperson for failing to comply with his requests that would have benefitted the Gupta's business interests.

Tony Gupta allegedly boasted about his close relationship with 'Baba' who also known as President Jacob Zuma.

Rahima Essop, EWN reporter

Tsotsi says if he didn't do what Tony wanted, then Tony would threaten to report him Zuma and accused him of supporting the president's enemies.

Essop adds that Tsotsi also shared his encounter of meeting with former South African Airways (SAA) chair Dudu Myeni at President Zuma's Durban home.

According to Tsotsi, Myeni brought up the idea of suspending three executives at Eskom and that there would be an inquiry into the power utility's financial woes says Essop.

This afternoon Brown began with her opening remarks saying she never consulted with anyone in her executive functions, not Tony Gupta, not Salim Essa and why would she, reports Essop. MPs will have an opportunity to question her further on this.
