I met Tony Gupta and Salim Essa at Minister Lynne Brown’s home - Zola Tsotsi

Former Eskom chairperson Zola Tsotsi told Parliament that former SAA Chairperson Dudu Myeni was behind the suspension of several of the utility’s executives.

Tsotsi says that President Jacob Zuma was aware of it.

He also spoke about an encounter with Minister Lynne Brown a month before the board implemented the suspensions.

He told lawmakers that she accused him of interfering with Eskom's management.

Later that day, he says, Tony Gupta warned him that the controversial family had the power to have him removed from his position.

Tsotsi says Myeni then called him to President Jacob Zuma's presidential residence in Durban where, he claims, she told him it was necessary to suspend several executives.

The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed EWN reporter Rahima Essop about how Myeni got involved in Eskom.

Listen to the interview in the audio below (and/or scroll down for quotes from it).

Tsotsi told MPs the President fully understood what was about to happen.
