In the wake of allegations, claims of sexual abuse and harassment against men in power in the film industry, particularly Hollywood Clinical sexologist Dr Eve looks into changing the perspective in asking why these women are only coming out now.
Why don't women tell? Dr Eve says this is the most patriarchal question many people ask which suggest that the women are responsible for the abuse.
My response to that is that don't ask that question because it implies that women are responsible for this abuse— Dr Eve, Clinical sexologist
It invites her onto a platform on which she has to explain and justify that she was indeed sexually abused— Dr Eve, Clinical sexologist
I think this is a cop out, a fall back position that abusive men use as a statement of defense because they say if your story was true, why did it take you so long to come forward?— Dr Eve, Clinical sexologist
