Robben Island reveals facts about the sinking ferry

CEO of Robben Island Museum, Mava Dada gave accounts of the incident that took place on 15 September, where 68 passengers and crew members had to be rescued from the sinking ferry from the island.

A preliminary investigation report into the incident conducted by South African Maritime Safety Authority (Samsa) detailed several apparent shortcomings in the operation of the ferry, Thandi.
