‘The ANC motion of no confidence in Mayor Mashaba is a waste of council’s time’

City of Joburg media specialist Luyanda Mfeka chats about what he considers to be the ANC’s frivolous notions of instituting a vote of no confidence in Joburg mayor Herman Mashaba.

The ANC in the Joburg City council has called for a motion of no confidence vote in Mashaba. The ANC says that there has been mismanagement by the DA-lead city.

The motion is on the agenda for the Johannesburg City Council says Mfeka. He adds that this is a frivolous notion that is more about the ANC’s own self-interest than the residents.

If we are going to talk about good governance, the ANC shouldn’t be pointing any fingers because they are responsible for corruption that’s estimated at R16 billion, he adds.

Our relationship with the EFF is such that we vote on an issue by issue basis.

Luyanda Mfeka, City of Joburg Media Specialist

This particular issue is about the ANC and its corrupt record in governance within the City of Joburg, we both agree that this is not in the best interests of the residents.
