FNB technology spokesperson, Peter Alkema has confirmed that the bank is experiencing technical glitches to its online services.
He says their team has been working very hard to restore all services and have found the root cause.
There are a number of services that have since been restored like:
Customers can still use the online payment option to recipients as per normal
Normal deposits and withdrawals can still be done at branches
- Swipe purchases are running smoothly
However, the "clear now" option when making online payments is still down according to Alkema.
We are doing our level best at this stage now that we have found a root cause. We aim to have resolved it by end of the working day.— Peter Alkema, FNB technology spokesperson
