Mpumalanga could be playing it's game on the fence until the 11th hour

Political analyst Lukhona Mnguni says he is not convinced that Mpumalanga Premier David Mabuza has a tight control over his province.

He says whoever Mabuza eventually chooses it will reveal that the whole Unity nomination was a sham from the beginning and was using it as a decoy.

It is almost as saying here I am come buy me - the highest bidder. He has this need of 'come beg me'

Lukhona Mnguni, Political analyst

A majority of ANC branches in Mpumalanga refused to choose between Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma and Cyril Ramaphosa as their presidential candidate.

The majority nominated 'unity' as their preferred candidate for the ANC presidency.

It is also possible that Mabuza pulled out of the Premier league to consolidate Mpumalanga in a much more sophisticated way and that this 'unity' was always some scam of sort to make sure he holds the province together as much as possible and at the eleventh hour influence its position.
