'Peugeot 3008's ride quality is impeccable'

The Peugeot 3008 is the car of the year overseas, but motoring journalist Juliet Maguire says locals have not taken to it in the same droves.

But it is the best product from Peugeot that I've ever tested, so it is worth consideration.

Juliet Maguire, motoring journalist

She describes it as a striking rather compact SUV.

The ride quality is impeccable. It's just a truly comfortable car to drive.

It is more suitable for gravel than true off-road driving she says, and it has a few French quirks like a really small steering wheel.

She says the interior is very striking.

The backseat is surprisingly comfortable and it has a decent sized boot.

Powered by a 1.6 litre turbo petrol engine - with diesel becoming available next year.

The range starts from R415 000.

Take a listen to Juliet's review of the Peugeot 3008:
