Mayor Patricia De Lille: on forensic investigation into claims of corruption

CapeTalks's Kieno Kammies asked Cape Town Mayor Patricia de Lille to comment on Democaratic Alliance federal chair James Self commitment to a forensic investigation into allegations claims tender irregularities.

I'm glad you are using the word allegations, because that is what they remain until they have been tested.

She says the Cape Town City Council has agreed to establish a commission of inquiry or investigation into the matter.

We are all subject to that investigation.

The investigation will report back to Council in January after which due process will be followed, she says.
