EWN Reporter, Pelane Phakgadi says that their legal team has asked the court to use its discretion to suspend their imprisonment and treat them as un-convicted accused, pending the SCA ruling.

Phakgadi adds that Oosthuizen's attorney is of the view that a different court may agree to the plea.

Wayne Gibbs, Oosthuizen's attorney is of the view that a different court may come to a different sentence, or perhaps even find that the two months that the duo have already served in prison since conviction in October is enough punishment.
