Post-Cabinet Briefing: no release of new Eskom board for now

Communications Minister Mamaloko Kubayi-Ngubane has reportedly given a vague response to questions about the appointment of a new Eskom board.

Cabinet held a media briefing on Thursday to provide updates on various developments.

Kubayi-Ngubaneand has told the media that Public Enterprises Minster Lynne Brown has submitted her recommendations to Cabinet and that it will be up to her to communicate the names to the public.

Eyewitness News reporter Rahima Essop attended the briefing.

There was an expectation that an announcement would be made today on the Eskom board but no such announcement was forthcoming.
