ANC 2017 Elective Conference

Disgruntled Free State ANC members may be heading to court again

The African National Congress (ANC) in the Free State held it's conference on Sunday despite a 10 hour delay.

Last month, disgruntled members of the party in the province approached the court to interdict the conference, with claims that the ANC has failed to resolve disputes of 84 branches.

The group wants the outcomes of the provincial conference to be declared null and void.

Stephen Grootes spoke to aggrieved ANC Free State member, Monnapule Ntamo.

We have requested the attendance register of branches to try and show them that all those branches that they said are legally constituted in terms of the ANC constitution, they were not.

Indeed there is nothing we are contesting against Magashule because there is no provincial conference.

That hall was filled with people that are not delegates at all, so we may be going to court even today.
