The Tambo Memorial Baby Pack Network was started in 2013 by Barbara Morrison, a local Deacon, after it came to light that newborn babies were being discharged from nearby OR Tambo Memorial Hospital sometimes wrapped in newspaper and bin bags.

Now a team of around twelve enthusiastic volunteers supply on average 50 packs per week to this hospital, thanks to kind donations from the local community.
They started really, really small - and now they have grown to over 1700 packs this year. Distributing to two hospitals every week.— Gugs Mhlungu

When nominated to recieve a visit from the Truck of Love, their list of needs showed their attention to the babies, but also for the mothers. While our delivery will go some way to help answer to their need, they were quick to add that there are more people they would like to help and that donations would be welcome!

- Vaseline – no perfume
- Baby soap – hypo allergenic
- Cotton wool
- Water 500ml
- Deoderant for mommies
- Chocolate or sweet for mommies
