Friendship Celebrated Through John Coltrane: A Love Supreme

This is a celebration and appreciation to the music of John Coltrane.

It focuses on the life and the journey that one of South Africa’s most respected drummers, Ayanda Sikade, has taken with his brother, Nduduzo Makhathini, under the leadership and influence of Mr Trane as spiritual and musical Master.

The two musicians will also be celebrating their friendship and brotherhood, reflecting on 17 years they’ve been playing together with Master Zim Ngqawana and other great leaders. The performance will focus more on the spiritual journey that Sikade has so far enjoyed with these amazing people.
