Officials working to re-open N3 at Van Reenen's Pass after multiple accidents

The N3 at Van Reenen's Pass in Kwazulu-Natal has been closed following multiple accidents.

Three people including a baby have been killed and dozens more injured in two separate crashes.

The first crash involved several trucks and minibuses.

Commercial Manager of the N3 Toll Concession Con Roux says efforts are being made to re-open the road.

We have heavy traffic heading toward that area, over 1 000 vehicles are heading toward that area and there is still a complete road closure.

Con Roux , Commercial Manager of the N3 Toll Concession

If at all possible delay travel to that area, or you could take the R74, however that road is dangerous, it is narrow and wide.
