It's been an incredible week of spreading tons of festive cheer with the 702 Truck of Love with Spar. To wrap up all the festivities our special truck headed north, to Ya bana Village in Winterveld just outside of Pretoria.
Ya Bana, meaning "for the children" in Sesotho, is an organisation providing vulnerable and orphaned children with permanent housing in a family environment by trained house mothers. The Village believes that in order for children to become balanced and productive citizens of society, they need holistic care. And Ya bana does exactly that.

“It’s a beautiful space where the kids are given family. There’s a warm sense of love”— Gugs Mhlungu
We were greeted by lots of smiling children singing and dancing with excitement and we couldn't wait to reveal our truck load of goodies that would ensure that they all have an incredible festive season, like every child should.
The Village currently houses 42 children and to ensure that they continue to do all the great work that they do, and give the kids the quality care they need the 702 Truck of Love with Spar delivered toiletries, groceries, and stationary to make sure that all the little ones are sorted with all the essentials in the new school year.
To end off our visit and even better week, we surprised the children with a gift each, adding even more festive joy to Ya Bana Village.
